Chelsea's Fernando Torres Named to Spain v Scotland Squad
Fernando Torres Named to Spain Squad
Torres has made the Spain National squad for the coming clashes with the Czech Republic and Scotland.
Fernando Torres has been told by Spain National Team coach Vicente del Bosque that he will lose his place unless he starts scoring regularly for Chelsea FC.
Torres was not on the squad for last month's 6-0 thrashing of Liechtenstein, which won Spain's Euro 2012 slot.
Del Bosque said, "We still have faith in him but have others behind him pushing hard for a place. We have to try and be fair. Some think we are not."
Torres' Chelsea place is threatened by Didier Drogba, Nicolas Anelka and Romelu Lukaku.
"My brother was a keeper and I used to enjoy playing with him in the street. One day the ball knocked my front teeth out and my mum wouldn't let me play in goal anymore," Torres states in the November 2011 issue of FourFourTwo , out now.
"I still enjoy going between the sticks in training and when we're allowed to choose our own positions that's often where I head. I like people shooting at me and trying to stop as many as I can."

Chelsea's Florent Malouda Feels A Difference With Villas-Boas at the Helm
Frenchman, Florent Malouda believes the team need more time to adjust the management of new Chelsea boss Andrea Villas-Boas.
The Chelsea winger has already noticed an improvement over last year and believes the club are starting to rediscover their winning mentality.
“We are not in our best form yet so we need these games, even if it is different conditions from what we are used to or for us to be at our best.
“I can feel the difference from last year, when we lost almost all of our friendlies, and this year we are improving, so that’s a good sign! What we’re trying to get is that winning mentality and we have to work in the friendlies to be ready for the season.
“We are not gelling yet, because we have had a lot of training sessions mixed with the games, so let’s say we take these games as additional training sessions and the further we go in pre-season the better we will play and the more normal the games and performances will seem.”

Ancelotti Deciding Between Torres and Drogba For Chelsea v Man Utd
Chelsea FC v Manchester United
Loosing is not an option for either Man Utd or Chelsea at this point in the campaign.
Carlo Ancelotti, Chelsea manager is deciding whether or not to opt for Didier Drogba over Fernando Torres for their upcoming clash with Manchester United - although he may reportedly risk the wrath of Roman Abramovich if he leaves Torres off the starting lineup.
Fernando Torres is fit and confident - however he appears willing to sit on the Old Trafford substitutes’ bench on Sunday if Ancelotti starts Didier Drogba in Chelsea’s title defining fixture with United.
Ancelotti used both the Spaniard and Ivorian in his starting line-up during last weekend’s win over Tottenham.
Torres’ solitary goal in the home victory against West Ham sparked hope that once El Nino's goal drought was over - the goals would flow.
After a hat-trick against West Brom on the opening day of the season, Drogba has scored only sporadically with a Premier League total of 12 goals.
Reportedly Ancelotti will not make his final decision on which personnel will fill his front line until his players arrive in Manchester for the fixture.

English Premiership: Manchester United v Chelsea - Tickets
English Premiership - Manchester United v Chelsea
Manchester United and Chelsea FC, the two top teams in the Premiership, meet in battle on Sunday at Old Trafford Stadium on May 8th in Manchester.
"We will have a fresh team on Sunday and that makes a difference at this time of the season. It should be a fantastic game," said Sir Alex Ferguson, United boss.
Fergie has confirmed Wayne Rooney will be fit to play against Chelsea after resting a minor hamstring complaint in midweek.
United manager, Ferguson believes that Manchester United will go on to claim a record 19th Premiership League title if they beat Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday.
United has claimed 25 points from their last 27 – if the Red Devils win against Chelsea on Sunday, they would still require a point from their final two games against Blackburn and Blackpool to secure the Premier League trophy.
“Everyone is aware of the magnitude of Sunday’s game,” said Ferguson. “If we win, we should win the league.
“It is a game we are looking forward to. Last Sunday’s result (at Arsenal) has certainly brought us an awareness of how important this week’s game is.
“It is one of the reasons why I picked the team I did on Wednesday. I wanted to give us a real chance.
However Darren Fletcher will not start, even though he returned from a two-month absence with a virus by making a 20-minute substitute appearance in midweek.
Ferguson is looking towards the Champions League final against Barcelona on May 28 as Fletcher's long-term goal.
"Wednesday was a step forward but that 20 minutes was just to give him a boost really because the boy has a bit to do yet," said Ferguson.
"He has almost has three weeks to the final and that is his target.
"If he does reach it, it would be a great boost to us. As we all know he is a big game player.
"He won't start on Sunday but his training will be stepped up in terms of giving him the sharpness he needs.
"We have Blackburn and Blackpool in the Premier League and also Gary Neville's testimonial so there is some game time there that could help him to reach his target."

Chelsea FC Update
Carlo Ancelotti, Chelsea Manager
The question is - who is to blame for what could be the club's worst season since Roman Abramovich's takeover.
Chelsea crashed out of the Champions League after loosing their match against Manchester United - ending the Blues' hope of silverware this campaign.
Speculation about Ancelotti's future has intensified after the Blues loss to United. Only twice during Abramovich's eight-year reign have Chelsea finished the season without a trophy, and the manager was sacked on both occasions.
Chelsea has had early exits in every cup competition, and are 11 points behind Manchester United in the Barclays Premier League.
Petr Cech said everyone on the team needs to take a look at themselves. "We win together, we lose together," he said.
"We are in the same boat and we try to guide the boat to the harbour as safely as possible. It's disappointing, always, if you are a part of a club and you don't win a trophy all season. After winning a double last season, everybody thought that we were going to defend the titles.
"We had a good start to the season and then the season became difficult but we were doing well in the Champions League until those two games against Man United. I think that we were very unlucky in the first game, but overall I have to say they won both games so they deserved to go through."
Cech commented about the merits of finishing second in the Premier League.
"If we finish second of course the season will not be remembered for trophies but you will at least remember that you finished second with your head up," he said. "We need to go and qualify ourselves to have another go in the Champions League next season."
"We are not only playing for the manager or only for the owner, we are playing for the entire club, which is the supporters - we know who supports the club all over the world - the players and all the staff and everybody involved in Chelsea Football Club. So it's a big number of people you play for."

Fernando Torres Worth £50 million Says Sir Alex Ferguson
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson says it will not be long until superstar striker Fernando Torres starts scoring goals for Chelsea.
Torres transferred to Chelsea from Liverpool in January in a £50 million deal. El Nino has yet to score in seven appearances for Chelsea – although he scored 65 goals in 102 games for Liverpool.
"Torres will start scoring. I just hope he waits a little bit, at least until after the tie against us,” said Ferguson
"When Chelsea signed him, everyone said what a great signing he was, and rightly so.
"Now everyone says that it was a mistake. Can people be more ridiculous? He needs time to adapt."
"Last year they beat us with an offside goal, while a month ago David Luiz should have been sent off," Ferguson remarked about United’s history with Chelsea..
"But then again, anyone who wins has a little bit of luck.
"I hope in the Champions League the wind will turn our way.
"Between us and Chelsea, there is no difference.
"It's two teams with plenty of champions, great experience and winning coaches. The small details will define the tie."

Fernando Torres Believes Chelsea Can Win Premiership: Chelsea Tickets
Chelsea
Chelsea FC is in third place in the Premiership, behind Manchester United and Arsenal. The Blues have upcoming clashes against Stoke and Manchester United.
Fernando Torres is convinced that Chelsea can still defend and retain their Premier League crown.
"Yes, there are a lot of points between us and the top...," said Torres.
"The teams at the top of the table still have to come to our ground. So we have to play until the last game.
"A month ago it looked like we couldn't fight for a position at the top of the table and in three matches things change.
"If we win we can take third place with a game in hand over them which would be a big boost for our confidence levels."
El Nino has not scored a goal yet for Chelsea.
"There is no pressure," he insisted. "People make me feel welcome here and as long as the team is winning things are going to be easier. The goals will arrive."
