At this stage of the season, it is all about staying focused on the next game and not looking too far ahead. We've got good experience in the squad and we're in a great position, but I don't like to say too much about what we could achieve because it hasn't happened yet. It's an exciting time, but you can't take anything for granted,” remarked Man Utd goalkeeper, Edwin van der Sar about Man United’s upcoming final clashes.

You never stop learning in life and it's the same in football. It's not just during the games - even in training, you're always learning. That's very important because every time you step out onto the pitch, you have to be on your toes and be ready for all the things that can happen,” Van der Sar continued.

There's a good mix of youth and experience in our squad. On one hand, you have a young player who brings maybe enthusiasm and fresh legs and, on the other, you have the experienced guys who have the knowledge of the game and the composure in important situations.”

It's important to stay focused on ourselves but you always keep an eye on your rivals as well. I think it's important to know what other teams are doing and to see how they play when they're in winning and losing positions.”

Everyone in the squad feels good and is ready for the challenges ahead. At this stage of the season, you've just got to take it game by game and week by week.”

Manchester United has attained the Champions League Final competition for the third time in their last four campaigns. For the second time in three years, Man United will meet Barcelona FC – one of the top squads in history - in the UEFA Champions League final on May 28TH at Wembley Stadium in London, England.

Sir Alex Ferguson Begins Five Game Ban

Sir Alex Ferguson Banned For Five Games

SIR ALEX FERGUSON TO SERVE FIVE MATCH TOUCHLINE SUSPENSION

Manchester United manager, Alex Ferguson, will be confined to the stands for the FA Cup semi-final with Manchester City at Wembley as well as Premier League clashes with West Ham, Fulham, Everton and Arsenal.

Ferguson, has begun to serve his punishment for his comments about some poor referee calls. Fergie was suspended for five matches and handed a £30,000 fine following comments he made about referee Martin Atkinson earlier this month.

The FA sanctions will commence on March 22.

Premier League leaders Manchester United are just three points ahead of the Gunners, who have a game in hand.

The FA made the decision due to comments Ferguson made following a controversial 2-1 defeat at Chelsea, when the United boss said he had "feared the worst" when Atkinson was appointed match official for the Premier League clash on March 1.

"You want a fair referee, or a strong referee anyway - and we didn't get that."

An FA statement stated, "At an independent regulatory commission today, Sir Alex Ferguson was handed a touchline suspension for three matches and fined a total of £30,000.

"The commission found the charge of improper conduct relating to media comments proven, following remarks made in relation to match official Martin Atkinson in post-match interviews after Manchester United's fixture with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday 1 March 2011.

"Furthermore the commission invoked a two-match suspended touchline ban, relating to a previous charge of improper conduct in relation to media comments made in October 2009. Therefore Sir Alex Ferguson was ordered to a serve a five-match touchline ban commencing on Tuesday 22 March 2011."

Fergie was angry over Atkinson's failure to dismiss Chelsea defender Davie Luiz for fouls on Javier Hernandez and Wayne Rooney after he had already been booked.

He was further upset when Chelsea were awarded what he considered a "soft" winning penalty when Yuri Zhirkov fell under a challenge from United's Chris Smalling.

"I am sure Sir Alex feels that there is an FA agenda against him," a source said. "When you look at what Harry Redknapp said about collusion between the linesman and the ref, and Martinez about bias, but they 'do' Sir Alex over the word fair.

"The FA have said there can only be one interpretation over his use of the word fair, but this is a draconian penalty and you can imagine Sir Alex is not exactly swinging from the chandeliers about it.

"He might appeal, but he might just accept it and get on with it, but he's not happy about it and it has left a bitter taste."

This is the fifth time in five years that Ferguson has been charged because of comments either to or about a referee.

As of April 1, Manchester United sits on top of the Premiership, followed by Arsenal in second place and current champs, Chelsea, in third place.

Man United defeated Bolton at the Old Trafford. Dimitar Berbatov scored the winning goal in 88th minute – and the Red Devils increased their lead in front of the Arsenal to five points.

Sir Alex Ferguson, Manchester United boss, watched the match from the stands during the Barclays Premier League match. Ferguson is serving a five match touch-line ban after comments he made about referee Martin Atkinson.

Arsenal clashed with West Bromwich Albions resulting in a 2:2 draw. Arshavin and Van Persie both scored for the Gunners.

Chelsea defeated Manchester City at Stamford Bridge. David Luiz scored the leading goal. Ramires sealed the Blues victory for a third place at the Premier League table with a point more and a game less played than Manchester City, and nine points and a game less than leaders Manchester United.

David Beckham Praises Chicharito

David Beckham, LA Galaxy

LA Galaxy superstar David Beckham has some good advice for Man United striker Chicharito.

"Enjoy playing for Manchester United. It’s the best club in the world."

Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez is growing into an outstanding player under the management of Sir Alex Ferguson..

"Chicharito has been exceptional when he’s played," said Beckham.

"He scores goals, he takes chances, he works hard for the team.

"It’s great to see that. It’s great to see a young player doing really well who is from a different part of the world. To go to Manchester United and do well is exceptional."

"He wouldn’t be in the team and he wouldn’t be scoring goals if Sir Alex Ferguson didn’t think he was a good player," Beckham said.

"It says a lot that he’s playing, it says a lot that he’s getting minutes on the field, obviously, the manager thinks a lot of him. Good luck to him."

Premier League Upcoming Matches

The buzz in the Premier League is about Arsenal receiving two disgracefull decisions in their recent game with Liverpool.

Nani was carried off and sidelined as a result of an injury inflicted by Carragher’s first-half tackle during the 3-1 defeat at Anfield - which resulted in referee Phil Dowd brandishing a yellow card to the Liverpool defender.

Jamie Carragher was not sent off for a blatant assault on Nani. It was a high, reckless, illegal tackle - and a red should have been shown. Carragher recieved only a yellow for the tackle, while Edwin van der Sar recieved the same punishment for simply expressing his anger at the decision. The high tackle resulted in a deep wound and it is the height of the tackle which is the despairing part of it - without douby, Jamie Carragher should not have been allowed to stay on the pitch.

Going into the weekend, Manchester United sits on top of the English Premiership followed by arch-rival Arsenal. The rivalry between Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsène Wenger is intense this campaign with Manchester united and Arsenal in direct competition for the FA Cup and Premier League trophies.

Liverpool 3-1 Man United - Dirk Kuyt Hat Trick

King Kenny Dalglish and Sir Alex Ferguson

"I think Manchester United are the benchmark for everybody. They are top of the league so, yes, they are still the benchmark. Everybody would want to be in the position Manchester United are in," said Liverpool's caretaker manager King Kenny Dalglish.

"The closer you get to the top the more difficult it is to close the gap. Going from 20th to sixth is not as difficult as sixth to first. The higher we go the more difficult the step up is but the owners are determined to move the club forward within reason and they'll do their best to provide the funds."

Manchester United reacted to their 3-1 defeat at Liverpool by imposing a media blackout, with Sir Alex Ferguson refusing to comment about the match.

Dirk Kuyt Celebrates After Hat-Trick For Liverpool

Dutchman Dirk Kuyt became only the third player to score a hat-trick in the Premier League against Manchester United.

Luis Suárez, Liverpool's recent £22.8m purchase from Ajax played superbly. "They were all outstanding in different ways," said King Kenny Dalglish, who gave the club's recent £35m record signing Andy Carroll his first Liverpool appearance, as a late substitute.

"Dirk got three goals and he will get the headlines and Luis played fantastically well but the rest of them were not too far behind.

"The way they went about their job, their attitude, their commitment, their desire to get a result, the pride they showed in playing for the football club and the pride they showed in their own performances: that is the reason why they got the result. Without everyone giving everything they have got you don't beat Manchester United – and they did that."

The Kop were in full-voice today as Liverpool soundly defeated top tier Manchester United under the helm of King Kenny Dalglish.

Manchester United managed a goal in stoppage time, when substitute Javier Hernández headed home a Ryan Giggs cross. Otherwise, the match was Liverpool's from the start.

Ferguson's men have now been defeated for a third consecutive time at Ansfield.

Liverpool's new star striker, £35m Andy Carroll, whose thigh injury had delayed his debut, was sent in as a substitute in the second half.

United have a need to regroup after loosing six points in six days. However they remain on top of the Premiership due to Arsenal's tie with Sunderland.

Arsenal suffered a 0-0 draw at home to Sunderland on Saturday and are only three points behind Man United with a game in hand.

The match contained some ugly incidents.

Referee Phil Dowd should have sent off Liverpool's Jamie Carragher following a foul that sent an angry Nani out of the game in pain on a stretcher, as well as Rafael da Silva for a two-footed lunge that left Lucas unscathed.

Liverpool secured two goals by the 39th minute. Luis Suárez dribbled past Rafael, Michael Carrick and Wes Brown before tapping the ball through the legs of Edwin van der Sar, with Kuyt knocking it home, then headed in a second goal. Liverpool stayed on the attack and Kuyt had his third goal after 65 minutes.

Andy Carroll

Liverpool v Manchester United

Liverpool have made huge improvements under Kenny Dalglish since he took over as manager in January.

Liverpool's winter transfer, Andy Carroll - the most expensive English player in the world, may make his debut against United on Sunday as a substitute. Carroll has not played since Dec 28 and only returned to light training a little more than two weeks ago. Carroll is thought to be in contention to be named among the substitutes.

Andy (£35million) Carroll, owing to a thigh problem, has not featured in the Premier League since Christmas, but the progress on his recovery was good, opening up the possibility that he could face United.

Andrew Thomas Carroll was born January 6, 1989 in Gateshead, England. He holds the record for most expensive football players in the UK, having transferred from Newcastle to Liverpool for 35 million pounds on January 31, 2011.

Liverpool manager Kenny Daglish says the club's recent 3-1 defeat at West Ham will not be considered as they “repair” the problems that were displayed at Upton Park.

“We will look to see where we went wrong and try to repair it, collectively we will move forward, we won’t dismiss it,” says Dalglish.

United travel to Anfield this weekend four points clear at the top of the Premiership table and eager to win against The Reds following Tuesday night's 2-1 defeat at Chelsea. After their surprising loss at Stamford Bridge, United hopes to get their title assault back on track.

The buzz about the upcoming match in Liverpool this weekend is about "fair" refereeing in the Premier League.

Sir Alex Ferguson was furious with the referee’s decision to not send off David Luiz - who apparently to have needlessly tripped  Wayne Rooney.

Referee Mark Clattenburg made a  decision to not send off Wayne Rooney following his  elbow to Wigan's James McCarthy, a couple of days earlier.

After his post-game interviews, Fergie may be given a minimum two-match touchline ban for his angry criticism of referee Martin Atkinson. Ferguson has indicated that he intends to plead not guilty if he is to face disciplinary action.

Referee Atkinson has yet to referee a Chelsea game where the Blues lose (12 wins and a draw out of 13 games).

United are facing problems in their back four for the match - Nemanja Vidic is suspended (after being sent off at Stamford Bridge). Rio Ferdinand and Jonny Evans are out injured.

Man Utd will travel to Liverpool for an exciting match at Ansfield Road at Liverpool, United Kingdom on March 6th.

Great football tickets are available now online.

Cesc Fabregas, Arsenal Team Captain

Arsenal v Sunderland

Arsenal will be missing some key footballers when they play Sunderland in the Premier League this weekend ahead of their trip to Camp Nou next week.

The Gunners are set to play without star forward Robin van Persie and Theo Walcott who has been ruled out of the game with a sprained ankle.

Team captain Cesc Fabregas hopes to be fit for Saturday, and at Arsenal's last 16 second leg tie at his boyhood club Barcelona on March 8th. Fabregas suffered a hamstring injury during last month's Premier League win over Stoke and has been on the bench since. He missed Arsenal's Carling Cup Final loss against Birmingham at Wembley last weekend.
.
Fabregas remarked, "We’ll take things day by day. I know when I can play. We have many games coming up so I couldn’t afford to stay on and lose three weeks rather than seven days. I am running, getting better and don’t sense any pain. We’ll see how the next few days go."

"Perhaps I’ll have a chance for Saturday."

Arsenal travels to Barcelona in next weeks Champions League play on March 8th.
