SunSport and the Dailymail are both running stories with a move back to his native Newcastle being mooted.
They claim an agent has been in touch to offer them the 23 year old for £20million (£15million less than what they sold him for a year ago.)
It seems though that the Toon army are only prepared to pay £10million for the strikers signature.
Carroll's time at Liverpool has been over shadowed by injury and the woefully small return in goals in the past 12 months.
